Mitutoyo's European customers turn to the calibration laboratory at Mitutoyo Europe GmbH as one of the top performers in Mitutoyo’s international network for inspection equipment monitoring.
The experts at Mitutoyo’s state-of-the-art calibration laboratory for measuring and testing instruments apply VDI/VDE/DGQ directives, DKD directives as well as DIN and proprietary standards. The calibration service ensures traceability to national standards for Mitutoyo measuring and testing instruments as well as instruments produced by other manufacturers.
Beyond the DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 certification of Mitutoyo Europe GmbH, the measurement and calibration service is accredited according to the international standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. Within this framework, the Mitutoyo calibration laboratory is accredited by the Deutscher Kalibrierdienst (DKD) for calibrations of:
- gauge blocks from steel and ceramics
- groove depth
- roughness
- stylus instruments
- dial gauges
- dial indicators
- dial test indicators
- micrometers
- calipers for inside and outside measurement
- caliper depth gauges
- height gauges and height marking gauges

Mitutoyo’s European customers benefit from the high service level which is granted by uninterrupted history and administration of their calibration data files. These can be updated periodically via data carrier or – as part of a service arrangement – also on-line.

The world-wide unique network of accredited Mitutoyo calibration laboratories enables metrological comparison between institutes in 16 countries. All 31 Mitutoyo-owned calibration laboratories world-wide meet the high standards according to ISO/IEC17025.
These basic conditions are established for the international round-robin tests which are performed by Mitutoyo at regular intervals – intra-corporately as well as in dialogue with national institutes. They allow Mitutoyo’s globally operating customers to further benefit from the achievements of other calibration laboratories, such as RvA or UKAS.
